We finish up the Eaton Detroit Spring leaf springs from National Parts Depot with an install and driving impressions. We give tips on removal of the rear springs and tools that you can use to help you get them out as well as safety tips to make removal less stressful. Diagnosing and repairing Classic Car horn system
This week we use some parts National Parts Depot Mustang horn parts to repair and replace the ’65 Mustangs missing and abused horn system. We give you some tips on diagnosing and repairing the horn system on most cars while getting the dual tone car horns on the 1965 Mustang Coupe in good working order. We also show how to use a steering wheel puller. We show adjusting the vintage Mustang, Fairlane, Falcon and Comet steering wheel to column spacing.

Heater box build and detail tips
This week we go over all the cool parts that National Parts Depot offers to repair the heater case in your classic car. We are using a ’66 Mustang case as our example. Heater Box Detailing Tips and TricksThis week we show that bead blasting can be an effective way to remove old paint from the heater case on your classic or muscle car. We also use commonly available paints to detail out our case. We also show how to refinish the case and give tips on installation of the seals. We also show you that things can go terribly wrong—if the case has the wrong parts in it. Though we are using a 1965-70 Mustang case, all of the tips can apply to any classic car heater box.

Drum to disc conversion and testing
This week we delve in to the sorry state of drum brakes and the one sure way to fix them: Disc Brakes. We’ll be testing the stopping power of Stainless Steel Brakes discs using a G-tech G meter . We’ll also be looking over the Stainless Steel Brake Corp four piston brake system and why you should abandon the single bowl master cylinder in favor of a dual bowl unit.

Drum to disc conversion
This week we install the Stainless Steel Brakes discs. We also talk about the myth that all Ford spindles are the same and show you how and why they are different. We also show some tools for easier front end repair like a ball joint separator and wheel bearing greaser. And we show how to support your upper control arms to make pulling a spindle easier.

Single to dual bowl conversion for master cylinder
This week we install the Stainless Steel Brakes dual bowl master cylinder and lose the single bowl “fruit jar” master that has been in the engine bay for a long time. This conversion will give us an added safety margin if the braking system develops a problem. We also go over both traditional brake bleeding procedures as well as using a Mytivac to get faster bleeding of the brakes. We cover proper break in procedures for the pads and rotors.
